Casa CZ is a redesigned apartment in Rome, Italy, completed in 2019 by MOPA Architettura. This 130-square-meter residence features a modern and functional interior, incorporating smart technology and natural materials. The redesign focused on creating distinct living, sleeping, and working areas, emphasizing a contemporary style enhanced by natural tones and lighting.
Functional and Contemporary Design
MOPA Architettura has refurbished a bright 130-square-metre apartment in Rome’s Garbatella district, creating a contemporary and functional residence while incorporating smart technology throughout.
The Italian studio’s renovation involved adapting an existing layout to fulfil the specific distribution requirements requested by the clients, resulting in distinct spaces for living, sleeping and working.
Custom-Made Furnishings
“With this project, we aimed to create a smart and connected house equipped with home automation systems and lighting designed for the client’s needs,” the studio told Nestling Nestled.
Upon entering the apartment, a spacious hallway leads to a choice of rooms. Directly ahead through double doors is the dual-aspect living room featuring bespoke shelving designed to house books and technology.
Adjacent to this is a connected kitchen with professional appliances and a central peninsula counter, facing the living area to facilitate interactions.
