Bright and Airy Fall Mantel
We got a taste of fall last weekend. The temperatures took a dramatic fall from being in the 90s to being in the 60s…talk about a shock to the system! I’m not going to lie, I am ready for it. I’m kind of tired of the hot, humid weather. BRING ON FALL!!! My house is making it’s annual transition to fall too. It’s subtle at first; pumpkins in neutral colors start to appear on the mantel, dried hydrangeas begin filling my vases, and pumpkin bread is being baked in the oven.
Totally kidding about the pumpkin bread. I don’t bake. But you can imagine if I did….wouldn’t it just be idyllic"
No, no pumpkin bread being baked, but it feels very fall-ish around here all the same. My early fall decor is actually very simple this year. I took about an hour to rearrange and switch up a few things, but all in all, the fall touches are simple and easy. I added a few new candlesticks to the mantel and topped them off with some little concrete pumpkins (from Hobby Lobby).
My only other new purchase for fall were these wood vases from the Hearth & Hand line at Target. I love them so much! They look perfect on our side table next to a little pumpkin!
