House redo part III
Dear readers, those among you who have read my previous blogpost, do know that since a few weeks I am working on the redo of a client?s home. As all paint work is finished, last week I started redecorating. If you missed my earlier blogposts about this home redo, please click here and here. Yesterday, I spent the entire day working on the decoration and tried to combine new decorative items with accessories present in this home. As the home owners collected beautiful furniture over the past years, there was no need to replace furnishings, only a few seats need to be reupholstered. You doesn?t always need to look for expensive items to create a certain atmosphere. Sometimes bringing in a pop of colour, adding a simple touch, will do to give the room just that little bit more. I absolutely love the colour of the red berries in combination with the colour shade of the wall painting in the breakfast room. On the existing console table in the breakfast room an alabaster grape together with a pair of terracotta Khmer objects used as tea light candle holders, found at the shop of Brigitte Garnier. The lamp is refreshed with a new green tinted shade, reflecting the colours of the painting.
