Who Wears Fancy Pants"
If you call velvet, "fancy" then I do.

If you call velvet, “fancy” then I do.
Velvet pants are an easy switch-up when the classic black trousers or the jeans feel dull. We all get bored with our wardrobes even when we have them just right. There is nothing wrong with feeling, not-this-again. Variety is everything; it’s about finding the switch as good as the original.
Velvet pants work.
There are velvets and velvets.
Velvet pants come in all styles from the tailored to a wider-leg to the jogger. I like the tailored styles and the wider legs – I haven’t tried a jogger but instinct tells me I prefer cashmere for a jogger pant.
Velvet looks the part worn as a suit but I also like the addition of a simple cashmere sweater or a pretty lace blouse. Finish with a pair of trainers, for a “walk out the door” look. Swap up the shoes if a more dressed up look is needed.
Which style is for me"
If casual and comfort are the criteria, don’t hesitate on these or these beauties in grey.
Something more tailored then these are super flattering and can be worn with top tucked in or out.
Tall and slim; then look no further.
Somewhere in the middle and a waist is your friend.
Velvets prove themselves time and again and as I write I realise I have been wearing velvet trousers on and off for 30 years. It is somewhat shocking to face the truth...
