Is it a bed" Or is it a seat" It?s actually both. Designed by French industrial designer Matali Crasset for Italian brand Campeggi, Twin is a multi-functional piece of furniture that provides various solutions for rest and relaxation. It comprises two twin beds propped up with an orange-painted metal frame. Two removable cushions, marked simply with a green corner, function as either a headboard/backrest when they?re on the bed or as a pair of side tables when they?ve been moved to the side. When the entire bed frame, with the bed and cushion placed on, is turned upright, Twin becomes a dramatic seat with an extended backrest, doubling its functionality during the day and night. For small spaces, this configurable piece helps makes the most out of small floor plans without needing to figure out clever, but often times complicated, assembly and reassembly.
