Tom Fereday?s DesignByThem Collection Expands with the Bow Bench
Tom Fereday designed a two-seater bench with the same arching backrest as the original chair with the same name.
In 2015, Australian designer Tom Fereday launched the Bow Chair for DesignByThem to kick off the Bow Collection of solid wood furniture. For the second release, he designed a two-seater bench with the same arching backrest as the chair. The Bow Bench’s slender silhouette mixes curvy and straight lines that accentuate the grain of the wood.
The smooth, sweeping backrest lends itself to a unique structure that does away with the rectangular footprint of a typical bench. The result is a sculptural form that’s also comfortable when sitting.
The Bow Bench is available in solid oak, walnut, or American ash (natural or black stained), with the option to purchase an upholstered seat pad.
