If you’ve ever admired one of Zaha Hadid Architects’ (ZHA) creations ? and who hasn’t" ? the just-released TOPOS outdoor collection will have your eyes popping and your jaw dropping. Launched at Salone del Mobile during Milan Design Week 2024, TOPOS is a collaboration between ZHA and iSiMar that brings together the brands’ respective expertise in design and materials to celebrate Mediterranean living at its best. The collection, comprising a chair and sun lounger, was designed for time spent with family and friends, whether it be by the sea, next to the pool, or in the backyard. It’s also perfect for commercial spaces, thanks to its strong durability.
TOPOS takes its name from the Greek word for place; its design elements drawing directly from the region’s geography and topography. Using contoured lines borrowed from maps and industrial design, the collection shares Mediterranean landscapes. A small taste of what it might be like to live there for those of us who can only dream about it.
