The Plus Collection From Goux Studio: Simplicity Adds Up
Inspired by the graphic nature of the plus sign, Goux Studio explores the relationship between form and product in the new Plus Collection.
The Plus Collection from Brooklyn-based Goux Studio feels uncomplicated ? it utilizes a plus-shaped extrusion in different lengths and sizes to create a line of cohesive and beautiful products. Featured in this lineup are wall-mounted nightstands, mirrors, planters, shelves, and hooks, all centered along the lines of an extruded ‘x’. Colors range from bold to muted tones, ensuring that this collection will add a little something familiar to any interior.
Citing such inspiration as Villa Tugendhat and the Barcelona Pavilion from architectural icon Mies van der Rohe, Goux Studio pulls off a coherent and modern collection. The Plus Nightstands come in two simple shelf shapes, a square and a circle. These can also be used in different places throughout the home, in a living room to display objects, or an entryway for keys and outside essentials. The complexity of this piece comes in the ease of installation, and quality of materials. Supported by a relatively delicate plus-shaped aluminum extrusion, the shelf is milled ...
