The Mush Room Is Actually Made of Mushrooms
Taking the theme of "Great things will grow" quite literally, design studio WeWantMore grows a mycelium bar at HIX London.
At this year?s HIX London, Belgian design studio WeWantMore took the event?s theme ? Great things will grow ? quite literally and collaborated with La Succulente and French artist Côme Di Meglio to create an experimental installation that actually grows ? mycelium, to be specific! The installation, fittingly named The Mush Room, shows how nature can be an infinite source of inspiration, as the mycelium bar draws upon the shapes and textures found in and on shells. Fungi also typically grows out of decomposing materials, a perfect metaphor that signifies the possibilities that await when we bury traditional ways of thinking. ?""""""""""""""""""""""""""
