Delicate and romantic, the Louise Lamp by Jean Marie Massaud for Ramun is a rechargeable battery-powered table lamp that?s nostalgic of candle-lit lanterns.

?La vie est une aventure faite de rencontres comme autant de lumiéres? ?these poetic words by French designer Jean-Marie Massaud translate to ?Life is an adventure made of encounters, each like a light.? Inspired by the comforting luminance and ephemeral glow of a candle-lit lantern, Massaud was moved to design the Louise Table Lamp for the lighting company Ramun, founded by Alessandro Mendini. This modern-day rechargeable, battery-powered interpretation of the classic lantern is outfitted with a light source that can be static or dynamic. The latter imitates the natural wavering of a candle flame to create cozy, intimate settings without needing to look for a match.
The Louise Table Lamp is the third edition of the 7 Stars Project conceived by Mendini, following his iconic Campanello Lamp and Marcel Wanders? Bella Lamp. The series will end with seven table lamps, each one inspired by Mendini?s original design, which was itself inspired by the Big Dipper constellation.
