The JEFFREY Lamp Will Dampen Sounds + Brighten Rooms
This new modern light fixture, designed by Ukrainian brand +kouple, is made from recycled plastic with the ability to visually and acoustically enhance a room.
When it comes to a room’s atmosphere, two factors greatly affect it: the acoustics and the lighting. After all, we do enjoy a space more when it provides an ambient level of sounds and thoughtfully placed lighting instead of a blanket of overhead fluorescents and deafening silence. The JEFFREY lamp, crafted by +kouple, addresses both of these issues with one single product. Designed by Dan Vakhrameyev, the modern fixture uses PET felt to dampen loud noises while adding intentional lighting, all to create a more calming environment.
The material used to make the JEFFREY lamp is provided through a partnership with Re:Quiet, a Kyiv-based brand that creates sound-absorbing materials. Using recycled plastic was a very deliberate decision by the brand in an effort to make more sustainable choices in manufacturing. ?We must implement more and more recycled materials into our daily routine usage,? shares Kateryna Vakhrameyeva, CEO of +kouple. ?In this way, we share the responsibility for improving the environmental situation and reducing the amount of waste on the planet.?
