The Alima Trolley Works the Way You Want It To
Designed by Note Design Studio for &Tradition, the Alima trolley's functionality depends on how you use it, whether in a restaurant, office, or kitchen.
&Tradition has a long history of working with brilliant, up-and-coming designers and their latest name to that roster is no exception. From Stockholm-based Note Design Studio comes the Alima trolley, the first in the studio?s range of designs for &Tradition. With its elegant metal silhouette and minimal accents, Alima takes on the functionality of more than just a bar cart ? it adapts to whatever the user requires of it.
Because of adaptable design, the Alima can be used in the living room as a side table, or in the dining room as a bar cart, or even the office as a storage solution. The metal frame is available in chrome or matte black powder coated steel while the two accents ? a leather handle and a removable wooden tray available in oak or walnut ? adds just the right amount of warmth and contrast. Wheeled feet allow the Alima to be transported easily as it goes from, for example, kitchen to dining room.
The ability of the Alima trolley to adapt to any setting or functionality was the heart of its design. Designer Kristoffer Fagerström from Note Design Studio explains, “When we are designing a piece, any piece, that means we have a function in mind. We need to solve a problem. We need to solve something. But the tricky part is to also solve or identify all the different needs that we cou...
