Now, more than ever, home is our haven and safe place.  We’re being asked to distance ourselves from each other and stay home for the foreseeable future.  It’s scary.  It’s strange.  It’s really hard.  But, its a also a great time to make home a pleasant place to be.  Today, I’m sharing some simple spring decorating ideas in hopes that it will help give you ideas for how to make your home look and feel like a place you want to hunker down and stay for a while!  I’m sharing these ideas as part of the Seasonal Simplicity Spring Home Tour hosted by Krista from The Happy Housie.  The week’s lineup can be found at the bottom of this post.

Add Plants and greenery to your space
Bringing the outdoors in always makes a space feel more alive and fresh.  Having plants around (even fake ones) lifts your spirits and mental state.

I know adding these beautiful branches and succulents to my dining room table helps keep my emotional state more stable…it’s silly, but true!

I’ve been adding succulents to my open shelves too.  I just plopped them into some gold cups, and they look so cute!

It is worth noting that all of my plants are fake.  I am not so good with growing things or keeping plants alive.  Even though they are faux plants, they still bring life and depth to our dining room and kitchen!
