Simple and Serene Living Room
Time sure is flying, and it’s hard for me to believe that spring is just around the corner! I’ve been keeping my decor pretty simple and easy, with little pops of pink and lots of greenery. Our simple and serene living room is the best place in the house to cozy up, light a candle, and play a round of Uno or watch a movie. I’m sharing our living room as part of the Seasonal Simplicity Spring Mantel Hop hosted by my darling friend Krista from The Happy Housie.
In the last year or so, I’ve kind of shifted how I decorate for the seasons. I used to switch out throw pillows a couple of times a year, but since I’ve gotten our blue vintage area rug, (which brings a lot of color and pattern to the space) I’ve been choosing much more neutral throw pillows that look great no matter the season.
The mantel is a simple arrangement of our large, round mirror, the framed butterfly art, some greenery and a few pillar candles. I’ve had those black pillars for over ten years…they never go out of style!
You might notice that we have a new (and much larger) coffee table in our living room. My dear friends’ family gifted this table to us, and it is PERFECT for the space. We were really needing a larger coffee table to fill the large open area.
The paulownia wood bowl with some pretty green artichokes is such an easy decoration option
Local friends, we sell the pretty butterfly art at The Bent Fork! I love how it ...
