SaloneSatellite and Rinascente Open the Design Supermarket with 9 New Designers
Design Supermarket is open for business and showcasing the work of 9 up-and-coming designers from around the world.
Marking their 6th year as partners, SaloneSatellite and Rinascente have collaborated on the 2018 edition of the Design Supermarket where they’re featuring 12 design-focused products from nine international designers that will be on sale until Christmas. With SaloneSatellite’s reputation of finding the best talent under 35, high-end Italian department store Rinascente hand-picked the material-driven products on display, which includes the works of Nöme (Russia), Alizarina Studio (Italy), Mauro Baronchelli (Italy), Kenkö (Germany), Stefano Carta Vasconcellos (Italy), Visser + Meijwaard (Holland), and Valentina Zuendel (Italy/Austria). The designs were selected due to their “quest for new solutions” with the hope of creating a better future based on their reference to the past with inspiration coming from age-old craftsmanship and ancient materials.
