Profile Transforms IKEA Cabinets into a Minimalist Kitchen
Reform collaborates with Norm Architects on a modern collection of kitchen doors and drawer fronts to create a modern, minimalist kitchen.
Profile is a newly launched kitchen design by Norm Architects for Reform. Profile comprises doors, drawers, side panels and plinths that are compatible with IKEA?s SEKTION kitchen cabinets and Reform?s own cabinets. The fronts are available in Dark Oak, Natural Oak, and five colorways: dark anthracite, white, dark gray, sand and gray. The material and colors were purposefully selected to integrate holistically within an architectural context.
The name, which derives from the aluminum rounded profile that protects the kitchen front from wear, also elucidates to its clean lines and material nuances. The handles are available in four finishes, which include white, golden metal, silver metal and dark metal. As per Norm’s design philosophy of balancing between richness, restraint, order and complexity, “Norm explores ideas that not only look good but that also feel good: Architecture becomes thoughtful, minimalism acquires softness and visual matter assumes haptic qualities. The work is sharp and crisp and displays a focus on quality, details, and durability.”
