Mosaik Acoustic Wall Tiles Launch With 5 Designs by Kelly Harris Smith

FilzFelt taps Kelly Harris Smith for Mosaik, an acoustic felt wall tile that uses automation to customize + assemble mosaics of all sizes.

No matter your thoughts or feelings on technology’s ever-increasing integration into our daily lives, there’s a world of creativity to be tapped into using new digital tools. FilzFelt, an industry leader in sustainable acoustic products that feature 100% wool felt, has introduced Mosaik, a wall application that uses automation to customize and assemble mosaics from any source of inspiration. Mosaik can take on patterns of all sizes, creating each with 2-inch square tiles designed to seamlessly fit together for easy installation.
With over 90 custom colors of their acoustic Wool Design Felt to choose from, it understandably feels daunting to throw your creative doors wide open. To introduce the offering and get our collective wheels turning, FilzFelt teamed up with textile and product designer Kelly Harris Smith to introduce five striking designs. She drew from traditional textile patterns, as well as the work of storied German textile artist Anni Albers, to realize these playful patterns full of color and movement ? a fresh interpretation on the ancient art of mosaics retold through felt.
