Christiane Lemieux, well-known interiors and home furnishings designer, has launched Lemieux et Cie in North America with her long-time retail partner Anthropologie. For the European lifestyle brand’s first US collection, Artisanal Modernism, Lemieux found influence in the ateliers of European 20th century artists, from Jean Arp and Brancusi to the Thonet and Windsor chairs. Featuring raw materials, sun-bleached accents, dry finishes, neutrals and antique metals, the collection is more about celebrating traditional craft than achieving perfection. The sculptural yet functional results honor those who create each time-honored piece with a collection that will be adored by design aficionados and homebodies alike.
?This partnership with Anthropologie stems from a 10-year relationship with the brand, as they were early collaborators at my first company, DwellStudio,? says Lemieux, ?I have put a countless amount of hours and heart into this collection by teaming up with the most brilliant creators and am thrilled to continue this incredible relationship years later by making Lemieux et Cie available at Anthropologie stores.?
