Get Your Rocks Off, Honey: Glass Vessels by Jess Humphrey
Get Your Rocks Off, Honey, by Jess Humphrey, is a collection of hand-blown vessels adorned with jewel-like orbs dotted across the surface.
Expanding her foray into glass, this cheeky vessel collection from Jess Humphrey embodies a rich minimalist tradition in a slightly unconventional medium. Taking inspiration from the works of Ellsworth Kelly and Josef Albers, the hand-blown vessels are adorned with jewel-like orbs dotted across the surface.
Titled Get Your Rocks Off, Honey, this collection is an exploration in color and form. The artist shares, “There is a magical moment when everything just feels exactly right, like what it feels like when you tap in the fitting puzzle piece or when you get lost in a kiss or what it feels like when you’re sweaty dancing at a Primal Scream show… I’m so happy with how this collection came out.” After two decades in the fashion industry, Humphrey turned to art full time in 2019. She has explored many mediums within that time, including but not limited to collage, glass, photography, and fashion design.
