Consumers Are in Good Company With Pallas Textiles
Pallas Textiles launches In Good Company, a new collection comprising six sustainable textiles that utilize SEAQUAL® YARN.
The following post is brought to you by Pallas Textiles. Our partners are hand-picked by the Design Milk team because they represent the best in design.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. And for innovators like Pallas Textiles, post-consumer plastics ? particularly derived from marine litter ? enchant with the prospect of new life as luscious, material rich textiles. Their new sustainable textile collection, titled In Good Company, which made waves at its debut during this year?s NeoCon, realizes the potential for the oft overlooked ubiquitous resource by utilizing SEAQUAL® YARN for a series of six unique styles. Nearly identical in physical properties to virgin polyester, this high-quality, 100% post-consumer recycled fiber contains approximately 10% plastic from marine litter and 90% post-consumer PET from land sources, which often end up in waterways.
The upcoming official release underscores the brand?s commitment to addressing environmental concerns by integrating eco-friendly practices into their design processes. In collaboration with Limn & Loom and Valdese Weavers, Pallas Textiles and its partners also dedicate a portion of the proceeds from sales of this collection to the SEAQUAL® FOUNDATION, whose role in upcycling marine plastics is pivotal to ocean cleanup and conservation efforts.
