Knowing that spring is right around the corner makes enduring these very cold temperatures we’ve been having more bearable.  It may be blowing snow outside, but we’re all about looking forward to spring in this house!  Today I’m joining Krista from The Happy Housie and several more wonderful bloggers as we share our homes decorated for spring.  See the bottom of this post for the whole lineup!
Bright Spring Living Room

The biggest change in our spring home is my new rug!  I have been looking for a new rug for this space for a long time, and I finally bit the bullet and got one.  I am in love with this blue vintage-looking Persian rug.  The quality, the colors, and the feel of it are all perfect!  Love it!

With the rug bringing in so much color and pattern to the living room, it allows me to really keep the rest of the decor pretty simple.  I picked up a potted faux fern at target and arranged it on the coffee table with a simple candle and blue vase.  The fern feels springy and green, which is exactly what I wanted.
The soft neutrals, simple pops of blue, and greenery all create a clean and simple spring look.  It feels very serene to sit in the living room, (as long as the T.V. isn’t on and tuned into cartoons, that is.)

Have I mentioned how happy I am with the new rug"  Making a decision on a rug and shopping for one online is tough!  I’m so relieved that I love it as much as I do…ha!
