B&B Italia Expands Antonio Citterio?s Ray Collection to Include Outdoor Furniture
B&B Italia gives an indoor seating collection a new spin for the outdoors.
In 2012, B&B Italia launched the Ray collection of indoor furniture by designer Antonio Citterio and for 2017, they’ve expanded it to the outdoors. The Ray Outdoor collection brings the same level of comfort to the patio that was once only found in the living room. Ray Outdoor consists of two seating collections, Fabric (color) or Natural (neutral rope), both of which rest upon aluminum frames and feature woven structures and upholstered cushions.
For the Ray Outdoor Fabric series, the structure is made of a woven polypropylene fiber that’s durable and holds up to UV rays and is available in vivid colors, like turquoise, acid green, tortora, and bordeaux red, and includes sofas in two depths, an armchair, and a chaise lounge.
The Ray Outdoor Natural collection is made of a woven “rope” structure that was inspired by natural abaca and comes in a variety of fabric choices.
