Acrylic Vases Inspired by Art Print Impressionism
A collection of acrylic vases with dyed interiors inspired by Art Print Impressionists of the 19th century.
Korea-based design studio HATTERN looked to art print Impressionism of the 19th century when designing their Mellow Collection of acrylic vases. Mixing blurred finishes with transparent ones, the vases feature gradations of colors that optically change depending on the light hitting them.
Impressionist painters typically painted nature as a way of capturing the light of that moment which changes over time. HATTERN chose vases as the product of choice as they can be paired with plants to create a similar colorful effect.
The acrylic blocks are dyed inside with six primary colors – red, blue, yellow, orange, green, and purple –Â for bold, unique effects.
