A Simple Summer Living Room
Summer time feels like it’s been a long time coming this year, am I right"Â It seems like spring crawled by at a snail’s pace, and we’re so ready to get outdoors and air ourselves out after such a long few months.
While spring brought new and unexpected challenges, we made the best of it. I found myself looking around the house and doing little projects that have needed to be done for awhile. One of my favorite updates I made was painting our linoleum floor in the master bathroom.
I also found myself getting out my watercolors and paint brushes that I almost forgot I had! I took every one of Lucy’s watercolor classes, and ended up painting a few pieces that I’m using around the house! My favorite is this landscape that I painted. I’m using it on the mantel in my summer living room.Â
Another task that I accomplished was switching around some of our furniture. I had been looking at our open shelves (which were previously in our eating area) and moved them to the living room!
I love styling these shelves, and it was fun to pull off all of the dishes etc., and re-style them for the living room.
While I did end up using some of the same pieces, I also added quite a few new accessories and frames.
I love how versatile these shelves are! They look good wherever I move them!
I thought I’d also share a peek at our new front door. We replaced it last fall, and I need to feature it properly in it’s ...
