A Colorful Holiday Kitchen

I’d like to tell you that my holiday kitchen inspires me to do some holiday cooking, but that would be a lie. I’m not easily inspired to cook, and while decorating for Christmas does give me visions of holiday cookies and gingerbread, I really think I’ll just buy that stuff at the store and just save myself the work…ha!
Pretty much every surface in my house is covered in bottle brush trees this year. I’ve always loved them, but they’ve especially captured my heart this year. The pretty pops of color have the house feeling so happy for the holidays.
To add a little winter charm to the kitchen island, I used a pretty speckled vase, galvanized candle, and glass jug. I just filled them up with some eucalyptus leaves and winter greenery. I love these pieces because they’ll transition so easily into winter….and then spring, and then summer, and so on….
I completely forgot to write something Christmas-y on the chalkboard above the doorway into the laundry room, but I think it’s still a blog-worthy shot. Â Â Isn’t it fun how these little trees can make a simple place setting feel special"
