Villanueva Residence is a custom home that was designed and built for a young growing family in 2018. The project is located in Morningside, a single family neighborhood in Miami with a beautiful character, defined by its prominent trees, abundant nature and architectural historically protected homes.

Description
The client is a real-estate developer from Venezuela that lived in New York and relocated to Miami to start his family life. He wanted to have a house that relates to his childhood in Venezuela but also responds to Miami lifestyle, with outdoor entertaining being a central theme on the house. This was conceived by the Architects as the starting point and key driving force to the design concept. The house is 4,700 sft of living area, counts with five bedrooms and seven bathrooms. All the social areas are on the first floor and open up to a large covered terrace and exterior pool and garden, while the bedrooms are developed on the second floor. The style of the house is a Modern Tropical Architecture, that provides a contemporary language with warm materials, contextualized in a site where vegetation and history are a key feature.
