About now, what to wear, loses puff.
What to wear is more about survival than fashion forward-thinking. January is oftentimes bleak, cold and lacking in the excitement and festivities of December. I turn to my tried and true pieces; those I wear over and over. My creative side takes a rest and habit helps me out; it’s not lazy or boring and I consider it practical. Fashion must work for us and these survival pieces are somewhat of a saviour.
This weekend I am away (surprise birthday destination), packing light and alongside the puffer, these 5 pieces will be in the carry-on luggage. If you have been reading along I think you may already know these five.

The Big 5
The Sweater
Turtleneck or Cable knit style sweaters are my go-to when I want an easy mix with a skirt or pants. They simply do it all and don’t require the level of thought a shirt or blouse do.
The Tulle Skirt
A different choice I know but one I love, especially with a turtleneck sweater and a big cosy puffer jacket on top. This style of a skirt goes everywhere and in most conditions.
