Boutique Hotel Find: Autor Rooms Warsaw
With plenty of innovative design stays emerging globally, it?s no surprise that in the heart of Poland?s capital, a young design studio ? Autor Rooms Warsaw ? has created a one-of-a-kind boutique apartment-hotel that champions local Polish producers and designers in every possible way.
Over an entire floor of a renovated 1914 Berlin Modernist apartment, the space oozes both classic charm and contemporary aesthetics. Local design firm Mamastudio partnered with architect Mateusz Baumiller to create the four-bedroom boutique accommodation that sits somewhere between an inexpensive private apartment and intimate luxury stay.
Featuring a central dining space and communal kitchen, the apartment is filled with Poland?s emerging talent, from lighting to furniture and curated books or artworks. The four boutique rooms vary in size, theme and design, but all overflow with generous natural light that bounces in from the large glass windows and balcony doors, and off the white interior. Autor Rooms was created by owners Madga Ponagajbo, Micha? Pawlik and Piotrek R?czajski of MamaStudio, who entered the project with no prior hotel experience. Their shared wealth of knowledge from travels bringing a personal approach to contemporary travel needs.
