A Bright Summer Dining Room – Seasonal Simplicity
Well, here we are. We’re in full summer break mode. The weather is hot and muggy, the kids are running around the neighborhood, and the fridge is stocked with popsicles. Yup, it’s summertime, and I’m loving the relaxed schedule that comes with it! Today I’m sharing my summer dining room as part of the Seasonal Simplicity home tour hosted by my dear friend, Krista from The Happy Housie. If you’re popping by from Sincerely Marie Designs, welcome! I’m so glad you’re here!
I wanted to play with scale a little for my summer tabletop, and my favorite addition to the table is this large whitewashed pitcher vase. It’s much larger and more substantial than anything I’ve ever really used on my table, but I love it!
To match the large scale of the vase, I also added a pretty wood pedestal bowl. The lilacs in the vase lasted for about a day, but man were they pretty in there!
The simplicity of the tabletop works perfectly for us this summer. A few beautiful pieces can go a long way, right"
Here’s a shot from our kitchen, which opens up to our dining room, which can more accurately be described as an “eating area” as it’s not really it’s own room…and we hardly ever dine there….ha!
How are you decorating your home for summer"Â Keeping it simple, I hope"
