Top 20 Recipe Posts of All Time: #16: Refreshing Cucumber Snacks
I cannot tell you how thrilled I was to see this recipe pop up as the #16 spot on our Design*Sponge Top 20 Recipes of All Time. Mainly because it’s from 10 years ago, back when we used to round the corners of every photo we ran. Talk about a style that did not age well […]
I cannot tell you how thrilled I was to see this recipe pop up as the #16 spot on our Design*Sponge Top 20 Recipes of All Time. Mainly because it’s from 10 years ago, back when we used to round the corners of every photo we ran. Talk about a style that did not age well as we evolved. I also used to write in all lower case here, too. Let’s just say I tried a lot of things that didn’t always work out. But this recipe was not one of those things — this refreshing recipe from a Buenos Aires-based artist became an instant hit with our community because it is simple and easy to customize for just about any event. Eliza Jane Curtis’ Cucumber Snacks can be made in less than 20 minutes and she provides a wide range of filling ideas suitable for any guest. You can easily create vegan and vegetarian fillings and can size them up or down depending on how filling you’d like them to be. I love the cheery backyard vibe of this story. It reminds me so much of the energy of Design*Sponge in those days and it was a joy to relive it all with this recipe from 2009. xo, Grace
