I like to refer to #18 on our Design*Sponge list of the Top 20 Home Tours of All Time as “the house that launched a thousand orange velvet sofas.” Skye and Jeremy’s beautiful Brooklyn home featured an incredible orange velvet sectional that led to a steady stream of emails and comments asking where people could find something similar or the same fabric to makeover their own sofas in warm orange tones. This is also the house that made me (and a lot of other people) want to find a way to sneak a small hammock into our kitchen. The easy breezy laid-back style of this home had so many of us longing to create similar vibes in our own houses, so I hope you’ll enjoy reliving this trip down a cozy memory lane interior from 2015. xo, Grace #18:Â A Crown Heights Family Makes It Work
Who Lives There: Skye Parrott, a photographer and creative director, and Jeremy Malman, the founder of Worth Motorcycle Company (a nonprofit group that teaches at-risk kids to restore vintage motorcycles)
Where: Brooklyn, New York
DS debut: April 2015
