I can’t tell you how happy I am to find our #18 project on the Design*Sponge Top 20 DIY Projects of All Time list. Why" Because it comes from our very first DIY editors back in 2007, Derek and Lauren Fagerstrom.
Derek and Lauren used to work with one of my heroes, Todd Oldham, and they went on to open The Curiosity Shoppe in San Francisco, work at ReadyMade magazine (RIP, one of the best) and work on Pop Up Magazine, too. They are hands-down some of the craftiest and most talented (and kindest) people I’ve ever had the honor of working with. This project is super simple and creates something you can use (and wash) over and over for your kitchen so you’re not tossing paper towels or sponges all the time. These crocheted cotton dish scrubbers can be customized in just about any color and pattern you want and are a great way to pass the time if you’re stuck inside on a snowy day. Enjoy! xo, Grace
