Last week I featured the living, kitchen, dining and study of this beautiful home, today features the bedrooms and bathrooms.
If I you look back over the past 30 years you will see big changes to bedroom spaces, they are no longer a place simply to rest your head, people want more out of a bedroom space and this means not only walk in robes but seating areas and even office nooks. The bedroom today is now a private escape to be able to do a lot of the things you could do in other areas of a home.
When a bedroom is more than just a sleeping space, little details are what bring it together, so let's look at these bedrooms and note how the designers, Studio McGee, have used detail to create these serene spaces. Above: When placing a desk in a bedroom, you want it to look soft, not office like so the choice of desk is important. Think about the style of the room, your bed and any other existing furniture and keep the desk small. The pin board in this corner has a softness about it and works perfectly in this bedroom. The stacked baskets soften the straight lines of the desks legs. A few little details on the desk top plus fresh flowers finish the look.
