House Tour | Balodemas Architects
We enter through a cherry red front door into the brainchild of Balodemas Architects, a design firm with creative, modern solutions for each client ranging from businesses, government agencies, developers, and in this case a lucky homeowner.
Graphic patterns, bold textures, and even bolder colors set this entrance apart as a Balodemas design. Honoring the history of the home, the stairs are updated but much of the mid-century modern elements stay, infusing the space with character and unexpected surprises.
Unexpected surprise #1: a mirrored light installation and ceramic horse. Somehow, these two pieces blend seamlessly! This entrance is a sure-fire conversation starter.
Lovely surprise #2: THIS chandelier and the giraffe lamp! Interior design lesson learned ? if all else fails, use an intricate light fixture and animal art piece to spice up the space.
Though the dining room is open to the kitchen and living room, the space feels all its own with a graphic rug and statement gallery wall solidifying the boundaries.
On the other side of the vaulted ceiling sits the cozy living room, ready to seat the whole family! The U-shaped couch has enough room for everyone.
Finally, onto the kitchen (our personal favorite space, for obvious reasons).
An ode to mid-century modern, this kitchen keeps it simple yet modern with quirky stools and fun kitchen pendants partnered with sleek cabinetry and Blizzard countertops.
