It’s hard to find the right words to describe this year. There have been so many difficult moments, divisions within our community ? and the world at large ? and the ongoing challenge of staying engaged and active when the daily news isn’t always uplifting has been hard work (but it’s work we will continue to do). But I am continually inspired and motivated by the work being done within this wise and wonderful creative community. So before we head out for the holiday break, I wanted to focus on just some of the ways we all came together to give back this year. As a community we:
Worked together to donate over 30,000 pieces of stationery to groups writing letters to their local elected officials.
We also came together to support new members of our community and their families.
We saw designers use their skills to help those in need.
And we watched the design community learn more about how to make their work more accessible to everyone.
So many designers, artists and creatives came together to use their skills, knowledge, resources and talents to support each other and those in need in big and small ways, and those moments are...
