Fire Pit Goals
Hello everyone!
My backyard is slowly becoming a better place to relax and entertain in. We most likely will replace our back deck with a larger one if it's not SUPER expensive and possibly add a roof over some of it (if it's possible). Those are grand wishes for now. Time will tell if that ever happens. However, one thing that did happen was getting a fire pit area established. We still have more work to do with it but at least it's a start.
I ordered four wooden adirondack (folding) chairs and a copper kettle fire pit from Wayfair. We set it up in the woods that border our back yard.
(We need to have that ugly pine tree cut down.)
This was very affordable and allowed us to immediately begin enjoying the comforts of sitting around a cozy fire outside. The chairs were not assembled, however, so that is probably why they were so affordable! (Note to self: check next time before ordering.) Even though the weather has been warm, the nights are cool enough to enjoy a fire right now. I'm sure during the Fall we will enjoy it much more!
(Ignore the weird furniture arrangement and lattice work along the stairs of the back deck. That is so our almost blind dog can go out without running into furniture and falling off the steps.)
Luckily, we have a ton of firewood leftover from some trees we had cut down a few years ago. It is seasoned and ready to burn.
I would like to have a border placed around the fire ...
