Over a decade later (and a revival I could debate for hours on end), the original Gilmore Girls series still remains one of my all-time favorite TV shows. The same age as Rory Gilmore?s character, I was inspired by everything from her wardrobe to her never-ending reading list throughout my high school and college years. Would I have dove into the desperate world of Tolstoy?s Anna Karenina, learned about Ayn Rand or embraced the mini skirt and jumper combination without a little nudge from Rory" I?m doubtful. Although the focus of the show was never on interiors per se, the quaint little town of Stars Hollow and the homes featured in it always resonated with me as warm, inviting, and most importantly, exuding quirky personality. All this considered, it?s somewhat ironic that one of my favorite interior moments from Gilmore Girls ? one that?s stuck with me for all these years ? has less to do with personality and more to do with kind-hearted presumption.
