Changes to my Dining Room
Hello everyone!
Have you ever bought something that led to a whole room change" I did! I found a pretty church canvas (from Kirklands) that did just that. I originally intended it for a different area, but you know how it goes. You get it home and start seeing it in a new light in OTHER areas of your home and then try to decide on the best place for it. I guess I was drawn to the brown tones in this picture and how it brought out the brown tones in the chairs and chandelier. So, I placed this picture above the sideboard and a new room was born.
It went well with the greys and creams in this room.
So.......I decided to change out the centerpiece on the dining room table, by using a runner, some chunky wooden beads and a wooden vase filled with eucalyptus.
On the wall hutch, where I once had white serving pieces, I now have soft green moss boss, potted plants and a grey woven birch ball. All of these add soft warmth and texture.
On my sideboard, I changed up the accessories using a kubu style cake pedestal and small potted plants.
I'm loving the softness of the room without being overly feminine.
It's been a while since I've made many accessory changes to this room. So this was a fun project!
I hope you all have a fun weekend planned. I will be going to the baby shower for my future granddaughter on Saturday.
Thanks for stopping by!
