I've always said no matter where you live, country, seaside or suburbs, you can evoke a feeling of being anywhere with thoughtful interior and garden design. Today's house tour is a holiday home that feels as if it could be in the Algarve, yet it is resides in the locales of Florida.

Summer Thornton is the designer behind this Florida vacation home. Designing a mood is in not a simple task, however if the architecture of the building works with the mood one is trying to create, it must surely inspire the designer. Summer has introduced patterned tiles in areas such as the kitchen splash back and outdoor entertaining area, similar tiles abound in Mediterranean homes.
