According to Alisa, there wasn’t anything wrong with the rooms per se, but challenging herself as a designer was an opportunity she didn’t want to miss. The recent room transformations were the result of serious planning and executing. Over time, Alisa has learned that not having a carefully considered plan is a waste of time, money and energy. Now, she always strives to see all aspects of a space first, instead of just buying random things that please her eye. A furniture layout, the direction of the sun, and the overall style as a whole are all things that she now considers before setting on out on a shopping spree. Although she tends to be impatient and would love to get things done in a jiff, she also knows to take her time and always buys intentionally, saving for investment pieces over buying lower quality items.
