I had the opportunity to sit down with Sarah Bagley a few weeks ago to record a podcast and talk about all things blogging. Sarah’s personality is so warm and inviting, and despite my own nerves, it felt like I was sitting down for a long lunch with an old friend.
We cover a lot of ground, dissecting everything from life before this little blog, how I made the scary(!) leap from my 9-5 to working for myself full time, and just what in the world is a spaghetti number. I discuss why we ‘blogstorm’ for the sake of our marriage (and Scott’s, too!), how our sponsored posts really come about, and I share the warm fuzzies I have for the friends we’ve made as a result of this job. Finally, I’ve put it out in the universe that this will be the year I perfect my very horrible, very meek elevator speech. The next time someone says, what do you do, Kim", I’m going to own it. Simply put, I’m a blogger (and home renovator and photography lover and pet painter!), and I share why it’s so hard to say so. Luckily, I’ve got a new accountability partner in Sarah!
