There are 5 top lip colours that never fail.
Whatever hemisphere or climate I am in, one of these will do the job and do it well.

Warm and sunny means all things bright and beautiful; I am thinking a Ruby Woo red or a little Lady Danger tangerine to set the scene. Then there is my very favourite Endless, a matte pink to get the party started.

Here in the northern hemisphere it is dark and moody all the way; a shade like Rouge Vie with barely there make-up or nude lips in Cherish with smokey lined eyes.

As I write this we have the Christmas music pumping and I can barely concentrate. I feel as if we are on holiday already; the countdown is on. This year we are taking a vacation and winging our way miles away to catch the sea, salt and sunshine.
So with Santa Baby crooning in the background I am mentally packing my make-up bag and working out the lip colours I want to wear. It always boils down to the top five.

Until Sunday the dark lips or smouldering eyes will be worn in celebration of all that is traditional; come Sunday and the very vibrant and not much else will find their place on our island holiday.
