Silhouette Challenge: Glittery Christmas Song Lyric Art
Christmas season is finally here and I?m so excited! I know a lot of people love to start celebrating in November (or even October!) but I?m a staunch supporter of not celebrating anything Christmas till after Thanksgiving. I mean, Thanksgiving deserves it?s own full attention, doesn’t it" But now that It?s December I can officially celebrate!
One of my favorite parts of Christmas is the music ? isn?t it just the best" Every time I hear one on the radio it brings a wave of nostalgia and warm fuzzies from remembered Christmases past. One of my favorite Christmas hymns is O’ Holy Night ? it?s just such a peaceful and beautiful song. So I decided to make some gorgeous glitter Christmas song lyric art to pretty up my front room for the holiday season as part of this months Silhouette Creator’s Challenge. Previous challenges include: Harry Potter t-shirt, British phone booth art, Coldplay lyric tote bag, crochet hook storage box, beach finds treasure bag, pumpkin spice tea towel, and a hello fall mason jar vase, and a utensils holder.
To get started, I opened up the design (available at the Silhouette Design Store) in my studio software. I then dragged the corners and sized it to fit a pretty weathered 8 x 10 frame.
Once everything was sized to fit in my frame, I sent it to my Silhouette CAMEO and had it cut out on Stencil Material. For this project I wanted the positive image from the stencil and not the negative relief, so I kind of revers...
