Easy DIY Felt No-Carve Owl Pumpkin
Well, it’s been an insane (but wonderful!) few months! In case you missed it, we announced that we are having a baby come March 23rd, 2018(!), which is a big explanation for my absence on the blog. Morning sickness is no joke, y’all. And then once I recovered we whisked away to England and Scotland for a pre-baby adventure trip. I’m now finally in possession of enough time and health to get back to creating, so my first go-to project is an easy no-carve owl pumpkin! Perfect for Halloween that is just around the corner, and for all of fall, really. Plus this is a great projects for kids to get in on! So super easy and no dangerous knives or ooey gooey pumpkin guts. Follow along for the tutorial below!
DIY Felt No-Carve Owl Pumpkin Materials
– Faux Pumpkin       – Gold Leaf Pen        – Hot Glue Gun         – Scissors – Felt in various colors (I used white, tan, light gray, and dark gray)
Step 1
Color the stem of your faux pumpkin with a gold leafing pen. This is an especially crucial step if your puppy has previously chewed up said pumpkin’s stem – it helps hide the bite marks
Step 2
Using the light tan/khaki colored felt, cut out and oblong heart shape and two leaf shapes.
Step 3
Using the white felt, cut out two flower shapes and an upside down mermaid fin shape. Hot glue in place.
