Deer Head Wall Art
I came across this pin a few months ago
Via
The pin itself is wall art made of washi tape! Genius! I loved the idea, but wanted to add my own twist to it for a project for my booth!
I've had this crate piece sitting around forever and I thought it would make the perfect backdrop for this fun deer head.
For my piece, I really wanted the shape of the deer head be the focus rather than the tape. So, instead of washi tape I used painter's tape and used the pin as my guide to create my deer head on the crate piece.
I dry brushed white paint over the tape and peeled it off once it was dry.
I love the mix of the wood tone with the white!!! It turned out better than I was hoping!!
I've got my eye out for another perfect piece of scrap wood to make another one!
