Calico Wallpaper Expands with New Wallpaper Collaborations
Calico Wallpaper partners with Snarkitecture, Ana Kra?, BCXSY, and Faye Toogood, and expands their offerings of bespoke wallpapers.
For the first time ever, indie wallpaper favorites Calico Wallpaper commissioned outside designers to take part in a new series, called Imagined Landscape, that made its debut in Milan during Salone. The collections are vastly different with landscape explorations, yet they still hit the mark with the brand’s design aesthetic and methods. By partnering with designers Snarkitecture, Ana Kra?, BCXSY, and Faye Toogood, they’re able to expand their offerings of bespoke wallpapers that do more than just cover the walls… they become art.
Topographies is by Snarkitecture, where the partners, Daniel Arsham, Alex Mustonen, and Ben Porto, continue their dive into excavation by turning their three-dimensional stacks of torn papers into handmade, two-dimensional wallpaper.
Ana Kra?’ grid-like Mira & Milo? wallpaper was inspired by a series of drawings with hand drawn lines that reveal imperfections you want to take a closer look at.
Microcosmos, by BCXSY, was born from enlarged images of bubbles that take on organic forms, almost like something you’d see through a microscope lens.
London-based designer Faye Toogood translates three original paintings that were inspired by 17th century Rococo and the English countryside Toogood grew up with in her collection entitled Woodlands, Fields, Moors.
