Bridge construction in the area of of Peitian Village, Fujian Province, China is build completely without the use of mechanical fasteners. Wind and Rain Bridge connects people with the rest of the world by this interesting interlocking timber structure. The construction was under the supervision of traditional carpenters. They give their “blessing” for each element installed in the construction. There were 265 elements completely unique and integral, assembled who number some of the few remaining exponents of their craft.
