Hill of Buddha by Tadao Ando
The Japanese architect Tadao Ando created a unique religious space in the Sapporo region, in the North of Japan. The temple is an almost entirely underground construction. Only the head of a giant Buddha statue is visible from the outside. The imposing statue on the top of the hill invites the visitor to meditation and relax.
