A large 5 bedroom home in the sought-after beachside suburb of St Heliers, Auckland is the new home to a busy young family. The homeowner purchased the newly renovated home at the end of June 2021 and immediately engaged Stacey Gillies Interiors to provide interior decoration services. Between her busy corporate role and sport mad children, the client required a dedicated designer with complimentary design values, to bring to life the creative brief within a very tight timeframe of six weeks in order to be ready for their move-in date.
The brief for the interiors was for an eclectic feel ensuring a mix of glamour and comfortable design while still incorporating the personality of the family. As avid entertainers, the home was to be practical for daily living and the demands of two young children while still offering a touch of sophistication. Stacey Gillies Interiors took cues from the homeowner’s love of Europe and pieces of artwork to bring together the color story for each space where various green shades, mustards, and natural tones are complemented by brass finishes with additional touches of color coming through in art and textiles.
The home with its vast windows and sunny aspect includes a mix of romans, rollers, and full-length linen drapery to provide a lovely elegant feel.
