The client wanted a garden, and that’s why he decided to move from his duplex apartment in the center of Stockholm to this land in the countryside in front of Lake Mälaren. The architects proposed a house surrounded by a vertical garden, where the interior and exterior spaces gradually blend and interact. The triangular shape is the result of a strong slope that diagonally crosses the site, also allowing to eliminate the north facade of the house. A double height winter garden works as a natural resource for preheating fresh air in the region. The roof terrace offers stunning views of the mountains around.
